Chloridos®iox® Chlorine Dioxide System Gains UK WRAS Approval

Conforming to UK building regulations

With the control and prevention of Legionella in public buildings being an increasingly important topic, we’re delighted to announce that our chloriDOS®iOX® chlorine dioxide system has gained full UK approval from the Water Regulations Advisory Scheme (WRAS).

Conforming to UK building services water treatment regulations is an essential requirement which demands that products reach appropriate quality and standard levels, as defined in The Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999, The Water Supply (Water Fittings) (Scotland) Byelaws 2014, The Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2009 and all other applicable WRAS standards. Among other requirements, this ensures that any non-metallic construction materials which are in contact with water intended for domestic use are suitable for this purpose, and meet the requirements of BS 6920-1: 2014 ‘Suitability of non-metallic products for use in contact with water intended for human consumption with regard to their effect on the quality of the water’.

This latest accreditation means that our customers can continue to rely on Gaffey to provide products which satisfy their specific requirements while meeting the highest standards.

Please contact us if you wish to discuss the ways in which your installation must comply with WRAS and local water byelaw requirements.
